Triangle, Circle & Square revisited

by "David" <DavidLThies@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 13, 2007 at 10:36 PM

I read the question. (what do these symbols stand for).
I read the replies.
I did some research.

I found that these symbols are widely used in lots of fields.
Where they relate to Aikido, I have ran into, more times than not, is the
following.
Triangle is moving off the line(of attack) in an angular fa****on, rarely
at
a 90 degree angle, it is usually more acute or oblique (like that of a
typical triangle).

Circle is blending with the motion that is presented to you.

Square is the resolution to the attack. It is usually done in a 90 or 180
degree movement.

I have found that there are as many opinions to this as there are people
to
think about it.

This is just my observation.
There are at LEAST 500 reasons why my opinions are different than someone
else's logic.
That does not mean my opinion is wrong, or that their's is wrong.

For those who want to argue about this. I give in. Your idea is ALSO
right.
