Bit of overlooked music news. If memory serves there was a Coffeeshop
thread about a year ago when Radiohead decided to release _In Rainbows_
as a pay-what-you-want download.
Looks like it turned out pretty well for them.

The sales included 100,000 box sets sold at the U.S. equivalent of $81
from the Web site, an $8 million windfall. In addition, the band sold
1.75 million CDs, according to the band’s publisher, Warner Chappell.
The album, the seventh studio release in a career stretching back to the
early ‘90s, was a prelude to the band’s most successful tour yet,
playing to 1.2 million fans.
