This is not a Michelle Obama speech.
I've never been more proud to be an American. In one night, we switched
from being hated around the world to being a beacon of inspiration for
civilized countries around the world. And even the uncivilized
countries can no longer use our old white men's club against us, to
recruit new members.
Obviously, he still needs to do the job, but IMO, there's nowhere to go
but up, and even if he turns out to be a failure, he'll still be better
than McCain/Palin would have been. And more im****tantly, he broke an
enormous glass ceiling, even though he never ran as a black candidate
(unlike, say, Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton).
Wow, have you ever seen such enthusiasm for a presidential winner? I
can only imagine what it must be like for a a black person tonight,
given what they've had to go through, but I saw a lot of tears on young
white people too.
Much of the job of president is to inspire the constituents. Dubya
couldn't be worse; Obama couldn't be better, at least so far.
