I'm sure all of you saw this story, of a temp employee who was trampled to
death by a crowd of about 2,000 people waiting outsidde a Wal-Mart on
Friday.
It's shocking and sad in itself, but is anyone really surprised? Every
year
this kind of thing happens at a Wal-Mart on Black friday, it was only a
matter of time before there was a fatality.
A WM press release says they are saddened that this happened "despite
their
precautions." I'd be interested to hear exactly what precautions they had
in
place before opening the doors to a crowd that size.
