Play was under controversy in California Community College baseball
league. After a few weeks the runner was called safe and the game was
finished.This play was the deciding factor of the game. It would have
been the third out of the inning nearly sealing a three run lead in
the bottom of the 8th. We had to start the game from that play on two
weeks later since it was overturned, with the runner being safe. We
ended up losing the game when our pitcher gave up a base clearing
double. I unfortunately was not picked to finish the inning I started
because I had pitched the day before. Regardless of whether the call
was right or wrong, the umpire made the call, calling the runner
out... So we should have won, like we did initially.
