Pawsox Colone, the bullpen, Carter, Natale, Van Ecery

The Pawsox won 11-4 on Tuesday night.  Starter Bartolo Colon was not
especially sharp, working 3 innings, giving up 4 runs (3 earned). The
bullpen (Marcus McBeth, Beau Vaughan and Chris Smith) shut down the
feeble IronPig offense the rest of the way. The PawSox exploded for 18
hits. Pawtucket scored 5 times in the first 2 innings and erupted for
6 "insurance" runs in the ninth. Chris Carter returned to the PawSox
lineup (oblique strain) in style. Carter had 4 hits and 2 rbi. Jeff
Natale also had 4 hits. The PawSox hit back to back homers in the
ninth. Gil Velazquez (9) blasted a 3 run shot and Jonathan Van Every
(25) followed.  Wednesday night it's Edgar Martinez (7-3).
