Sea Dogs swept a doubleheader 6-4 and 7-2, Tuesday night. The Sea
Dogs scored 10 of 13 runs in the twinbill with two outs. Dave Gassner
(from Hillie's team) (8-5) worked six strong innings on four hits and
two runs to win his 7th consecutive start. Chad Rhoades pitched a
perfect seventh inning to secure the win. Argenis Diaz (5-for-7, 2 RBI
in the doubleheader) a solo-homer. A 2-run homer by Josh Reddick and
a 2-run triple by Jorge Jimenez. The combination of Diaz and Jimenez
went 10-for-15, 4 RBI and 6 runs scored on the night.
A sac fly by Tony Granadillo and a run-scoring triple by Zach Daeges.
A run-scoring double by Lars Anderson --- Daeges went 3-for-4 with
three RBI, including a two-run double to highlight a four-run second
inning.
Mike James (5-4) worked two scoreless innings of relief on one hit to
earn the win for ****tland. Daniel Bard notched his 7th save with a
perfect ninth, including back-to-back strikeouts to end the game.
Notes...Zach Daeges needs two doubles (currently has 34) to equal
Brandon Moss's franchise record for most doubles in one year.
