On thing I've noticed is that the Tribe have flat_out given away 3 of the
8
losses.
In other words, had they played solidly, they could be 8-5, not 5-8.
I'd also say that they should have lost one of their wins (4-3 vs. LAA).
Two of the three losses they gave up are directly related to Borowski.
The Tigers are "probably" not gonna stink all year.
I still think that they are a team that could win 18 out of 20 in a
stretch.
A closer who is probably hurt, and a LF that doesn't hit, hit for power,
and play defense well are two items that long term will cost the team
close to 20-25 games. I think both need addressed. The starting pitching
will come around. So will the hitting. The problems I've noted above were
problems last year, and simply ignored.
