LF & 1B, not not necessarily *easy*, are the least challegning places
to play defensively traditionally - and that's where you "hide" your
slow lumbering power hitters (in the NL, anyway). you probably don't
need foot speed as much at 1B,  but a 1B with the ability to do the
splits and dig throws out of the dirt will save his teammates a lot of
potential errors and make the pitching staff a lot happier -
especailly sinkerball pitchers like carmona & westbrook.
