At the risk of the expected negativity, what do you all the chances
are of making the post season?
We had the big win last night in Toronto. With 6 games left, if all
goes as planned we would be .500. Is that going to hold off
Wa****ngton? Can we win the 3 against Toronto and Buffalo and lose
against Ottawa and NJ? Can we steal points from Ottawa and NJ?
Regardless of the outcome it is going to be a very interesting last 6
games.
My optimistic self hopes for:
A win Thursday against the Leafs who come to realize it really is
over.
A return from Savard, but with less ice-time to him and re-distributed
to a group that figured out last night that they can score without
him.
NJ is in a position that their game against Boston doesn't matter and
starts Weekes.
Ottawa gives us one of those games, with bad goaltending.
Buffalo also throws the towel by the time we play them and start
bringing up some AHLers.
Yes, I know 8th is likely a meeting with the evil French empire. But
wouldn't it be tremendous justice to pay them back for when roles were
reversed not so long ago?
