Just some random thoughts on that disaster Thursday night.
Why do the Bruins piss themselves when they see the MTL uniform? This
did not even look like the same group of guys that played the last
month of the season. They played with so much confidence against
Ottawa and Totonto, but they looked like pee wee team against MTL.
Boston did not have one, not one really good scoring op****tunity.
Even their goal was deflection.
Every MTL scoring chance was a good one. Every one a great setup or
great pass to an uncovered man. This could have easily been 8 - 1.
Towels? In Montreal? Please!
Montreal fans really expect a penalty shot if you so much as breath
heavy on one of their boys.
How could the Bruins be out-hit like that? Paranoid of the infamous
MTL home calls I guess. The fans certainly expected them.
Wideman is not his real name, it's actually his nickname, based on his
shot from the point. Really, did anybody play any worse? Even when
he had time to make a pass, he would just throw the puck away. He
looked absolutely frightened.
Will it ever occur to them to stand up to the MTL forwards at their
blue line? Will it ever sink in that skating backwards until you are
behind your own net doesn't work? It's like they're just watching
something they've never seen before in awe.
Schaeffer is useless. I would much rather see Sobotka dressed on
Saturday.
Kessel seemed to be the only Bruin that wasn't intimidated.
You'd think MTL was the #1 seed and BOS was the #8.
Oh.
