When was the last time Vanek produced a shootout goal? A long time
ago, and yet he is always in the shootout lineup. Kotalik, while not
producing a lot of the time during the game, is doing great on the
shootout and he should keep taking them, but why does Vanek have to
keep taking them? Well I guess he gets paid so much that they should
get their money's worth, right? He completely botched the shootout
today, and even McArthur had a pretty nice shot on his SO attempt.
Ruff should stick to who is solid on shootouts and who seems to be
playing well at that moment, not just stick Vanek in because he gets
paid so much.
I'm sure that a Sabre or two will end up at the All Stars game, but
it's no surprise that not one of them ended up on the Starting team
this year, because not one of them deserves it. I'm sick of all the
crap about outdoor events all the Sabres merchandise they sell and the
young girls screaming about Jason Pominville being hot, it's all
bull****. How about they make a ****ing move and pick up a player or
two that can make a difference on this team, because how can they
expect to even get into the playoffs when they lost two huge players,
and gained nothing but a bunch of young kids from Rochester who don't
even know what their doing. The Sabres clearly need some leader****p,
they can't even figure out who the **** is the captain of the team.
Maybe Numinem can add something if he returns, but I am convinced that
they can't get much better with the current team that is in place.
Darcy Regier and the cheap owner Golisano need to decide if they want
a team that can actually compete or are they content with just having
a team with outdoor events, sold out arenas and record T-****rt sales,
( all of which will disappear pretty quickly anyway if the team sucks).
