Without much defense this season we can see that the previous results
weren't just Kipper, but a whole team effort.
$35M for 6 years ties up a lot of money. The Flames have some
excellent, but of course untried goalies in the minors which were
supposed to be our future, at least I thought they were for the
future, but they must be wondering if they'll ever play in the NHL for
Calgary now, especially with Kipper playing 70+ games a year. A good
duo of the farm hands could've saved a lot of money for re-signing
players they would like to keep, or for shopping for free agents etc.
