Be that as it may, its the GOP owners of beachfront real estate who do 
not want to see oil rigs out there. Hello?

As for high prices, that motivates entrepreneurs in the free market to 
find new technologies to compete with petroleum, and while that requires 
the pain at the pump now, it'd tend to stabilize the prices over the 
long run, especially as oil consumption in Asian economies rise.

You apparently are unaware of this new factor from the expansion of the 
global market, which Bush and the Neocons have worked so hard to create, 
that created new customers, not only for US output, but also drivers of 
new cars at Asian pumps.

Such blindsided partisan****p does not lend credence to your position. I 
am not a democrat, in fact voted for Goldwater. Bush is no Goldwater.
