The Demand effects do not occur at all places simultaneously in the

There is no gap between supply and demand to reduce.  What you want is
an oversupply.  The awlbidniss wants to match supply to demand, which
is the rational strategy to maximize revenue.

Just at the moment, the awlbidniss has drilling access to something
like 80% of all the offshore areas that are considered good prospects.
It hasn't yet chosen to drill in all the places that it Could drill.
When/if it implements drilling in those locations, we can discuss what
other locations might someday be appropriate to open.

We will drill for more -- the only Real question is how quickly we
will implement the additional drilling and where.

We will Not drill Everywhere and we won't drill Now.

We can't.

The awlbidniss would like to get new drilling leases at fire sale
prices, when the nation is acting in a sort of awl-driven panic.
Which is smart strategy for the awlbidniss and poor strategy for the
nation, seems as how.

The awlbidniss wants to do all of this in a hurry.  The nation
shouldn't oblige all That quickly.  There's neither need nor benefit
to be gained from opening everything right now.

So calm yerself a tad here and engage a rationality neuron.
