Do people get attacked by bears, wolves, lions, alligators, with some
frequency?
It is much debated. I think its because they confuse backcountry and
backpacking in forests specifically and forget other wild regions.
One would have to tally all Alpine and Spanish Parks and other legally
designated reserves of various kinds.
