Using the link you provided, I use 2 types they suggest (dry weather).

Trail Running Shoes / Cross Trainers / Adventure Racing Shoes (Class
A)
Hiking Shoes / Approach Shoes / Trail Boots / Light Boots (Class A to
B)

Namely New Balance and (don't laugh) Skechers S****t (more a fa****on
brand, but the wide width ****vides me with a perfect fit).

I try to hike 3 times a week, some of that may fall on Rails-To-Trails
(which I suppose is merely "going for a long walk") due to time
restraints.

Otherwise I am doing well defined trails in the Moshannon State
Forest.

However, I have a different pair for winter, Columbia Ice Dragon,
because I need something with insulation.
