Not sure exactly where they were released, but the ones in Baja
supposedly came from the San Diego Wild Animal Park.  Apparently all
of them get tagged - even the wild born ones.

We got reasonable close to Condors at the Grand Canyon, but never got
to see them in flight.

There are plenty of turkey vultures flying on a daily basis above
where I live.  Does that count?  ;-)
