    Looking forward to it.

What book would be good for me?

Well, then it probably isn't a moat because it's the top layer of
snow that melts because it is on the warm ground and rock at the top.
What I thought was a moat melts down to where it is nearly flat stepping
on the glacier from above.

Yeah, It's not like I'm going to sit there and watch it move. I
doubt they would like me sticking a marker in.

Sounds like they had all the fun.
My buds dad said they used to fish with gallon jugs with a little
bit of carbide dust in them. Never played with it myself.
Another bud tried charcoal and saltpeter with no luck.

    Don't think so.

When skiing, but I was snowshoeing on that trips. The 10 inches of
soft was deep enough to give a mostly flat step when stomped hard on
those few hazardous steps.

Not much of a slant downhill so it took more work to dig the door
out but it all works.

    Depending on no microbursts.
    Doublely living on the edge.

Stay in the center of the snowfields, exit carefully. Stay on bare
rock/tundra mix when not sure of the snowfield.

Saw some waterfalls on the edge of some broken lava flows.

I'd like to travel to someplace where the freshly polished rock is
showing. Eradics would be pretty unstable.

Just serviced mine, new struts... ouch.

Yes, easy to get to and getting to know the area real good. Perhaps
to good but I'm getting a deeper understanding and waiting to see what
comes of it.

By reading web pages, sounds like we might still have some...
