I purchased a NOS Dura Ace quill stem for a project I was trying to
finish (converting my Hans Scneider from a modern racer to an old
school setup Dura Ace downtube ****fting setup). But there's no point
in cutting down and threading my Schneider steel fork because the
inner diameter of the steerer tube is too narrow to accommodate the
expander bolt of the stem. I paid $150.00 for the stem on Ebay in
