A frequent topic.

It's a combination of macho sicko climber humor and other factors.
Some people regard being truthful or descriptive as im****tant.
Shortness is im****tant. Climbers aren't people of many words.
Their deeds rank higher than text. Including this summary.
Other's don't. Go figure. Remember the seriousness (as well as the humor
in these):

	This piece is psychological.

I wouldn't laugh. You get the next (try/lead/pitch/etc.)

At least one wall/side is merely vertical.

Watch me. (beginners will misinterpret the meaning of this line,
the experienced know what this means.)

Let me get my belay knife out.

	"Interesting."

"Don't fall now or we'll both go" attributed to Layton Kor to numerous
of his partners (and some times it was true).

"Oh that pitch.. it's a piece of cake" -- usually with a sh*t eating
grin on a sandbag.

With people that you know well, and that they know you well
"Off belay" shouted by the belayer right at the crux
Yeah.. I know sick humor; as I said the leader has to know the
belayer well.

"You *do* know that that pin was made by a drunken blacksmith
back in the 30's" again shouted up to the leader at the "right" moment.

"Well that should slow me down" - usually after tying off a
small twig sticking out of a crack, or after clipping some
mangy piece of gear

"You can sew it up tighter then a bull's ass in fly season"

"I don't want too lead it... let Mikey lead it; he will lead anything"
-- a friend of my on numerous scary leads...; of course
there was no one around named "Mikey".

Leader is on a 5.11 overhang...belayer says:
"I'm going to have take you off belay for a second...the dog's all
tangled up in the rope"

Umm.. Like I'm back now... should I tie in or what?

Okay, the anchor's cleaned! Now what?

So... you gonna be there for awhile? I gotta go piss!

        Overheard before the crux move..
"Okay, page 12... "How to belay.." Cool, I haven't read
             that chapter yet!"

What? Are you scared of Dying.

You want me to come up there and lead it.- Works Often

It's a good day to die.

Hold on- I am having a[n acid] flashback.

I just dropped the haul bag.
		# Hey, I've heard this from S.L.

Be a man- and lead the damn pitch.

You ****ing coward - it's only 5.10c.

Hey bob, they're stealing your 4-runner.-This is a good one half way up El
Cap.

Hurry up and finish the damm pitch. That Mad dog guy is catching up and
he thinks I am his suzzie doll.

Don't pull too hard on that block or the belay [anchor] will fall out.

Ummmm, you know that last piece you just put in? Well it just fell out.

Hey, you had better start climbing faster the buzzards are starting to
circle.

You ought to see this lizard down here, its making a fool of you.

"I saw that! Grabbing the pro--two meters of penalty slack."

Half way up a runout lead..... "Do you think my rope looks longer? I
think pulling that stump out of my yard stretched it a bit."

"Climb badass Climb!!!" *sarcastic*
