So...this was NOT our Most Fun Trip to Cologne.
Jurgens niece and grand niece ride and they always take me out when we
visit. We have wonderful rides and I was soooooooo looking forward to
it.
Day one, surpise birthday party for Jurgens brother. I had to
laugh..the brunch was at a restauraunt that used to be Micha's, great
typical German food, and is now Taco Loco, owned by the same people
with as near as I could tell the same great German food. Cactuses and
coyotes on the walls. Ha! Had a great time. Love that Kolsch! Day two,
walk to the Dom etc and see all Jurgens student haunts which was
really fun, lunch at a pub, coffee and cakes, and a nice dinner at the
hotel. Day three...wake up not feeling quite right which soon turned
into a haze or throwing up, fever and oh so sick. Day four, same. Day
five sleeping all day. Day six, a little soup for dinner with his
family. Day 7, we fly home.

Oh well!!!!
At least all is well here. The girls did a great job and all cats and
dogs were happy to see us as well. Cant wait to go to the barns
tomorrow and ride...though it cant recreate the fun we would have had
in the woods outside Koln.
It snowed this morning and we drove to the Frankfurt air****t in a very
pretty wintery scene.
So glad to be home, in our own bed!
Thanks for the nice wishes from when I left..it really was worrisome.
Thank God the fires didnt come!
Now to catch up on all the wreck from when I was gone. But now to bed!
Man, am I tired.
