After something of a nail-biter, the past few days have produced
significant
snowfalls, not only in the French Alps, but down in the Pyrenees (which
have
loads)and even the Auvergne. Not a bad year for Le Mont Dore & Co, in
fact.
Looks like more to come on Sunday, and maybe beyond, as a new low comes
in.
Webcams show one or two areas which have missed out, and it's all come too
late to save the season for some of the smaller ski stations which have
had
to lay off seasonal staff and pack it in. There's a bitter irony in the
present big dumps...
So, a good time to get an extra, late season trip in. :-)
