Dear Mr. Chingoka,
The ban on touring Zimbabwe, and Zimbabwe touring, has moved cricket
from the s****ting basket and in to the political basket. This is not
of our wish or doing, but by fate. Unfortunately I am despondent in
believing that although your cricketers have done everything they can
in Zimbabwe countries will now come out with the verdict, the
political verdict, that they can't play in Zimbabwe so long as Mugabe
runs the government. Regrettable too, our Prime Minister, gives the
impression he thinks the same way ...
I think you will get a good and sympathetic hearing from the cricket
fraternity in India but what use is that if the powers that be won't
let tours take place ...
I find it ironic that ECB, CA and New Zealnd Cricket do not wish to
visit Pakistan and on that basis want to move the Champion's Trophy
out of Pakistan but they want to keep Twenty20 Cup in England when
they won't let Zimbabwe come even though the Olympics had no problem.
I wonder what they are going to do in 2012 in London.
Yours Sincerely,
Donald Bradman
