I read in Cricinfo the following artiocle:
"All this, of course, leaves Sri Lanka in an unusual position. Duleep
Mendis, Sri Lanka Cricket chief executive, told Cricinfo his country
is prepared to host the tournament if needed. However, he said the
tournament should go ahead in Pakistan, indicating which way the Asian
countries are likely to go if the future of the Champions Trophy comes
down to a vote of the ICC board - any decision requires at least a 7-3
majority."
This is not strong enough a statement from Sri Lanka. It is time for
Duleep Mendis to say openly and clealry that while SL can host the
tournament in no case will they allow the West to divide and rule,
they will not allow a brotherly country to be discriminated against by
Aus-Eng-NZ. Don't forget that today it is Pakistan and tomorrow they
can deny a tournament to SL and claim that Tamils are suicide bombers
and the situation is dangerous. SL should remember what a sterling
role India and Pakistan played when it came to the Murali conspiracy.
When Australia and England could not handle Murali, they got their
pimp in white coat to ban him for chucking. India and Pakistan went to
bat for Murali. Imran gave a statement in the press asking for India
and Pak to close ranks against the west and set the ball rolling. If
we had not stood together the three Ice Countries and their puppet
pimps would have destroyed Sun Countries. In fact Arjuna Ranatunga and
one other senior guy in the SL Cricket establishment thanked Pak and
India openly. Clearly the Aus-NZ-Eng (Ice Peoeple) are playing their
games against Pakistan (Sun people). SL should not allow the divide
and rule to work. Come out openly and say " we will not tolerate
damage to the people of Pakistan and their Cricket board".
This is an ODI tournament not a Test tournament. If it is Tests I
would have let it go (Test is the NATURAL S****T of Ice Peoples as I
proved in earlier posting).
Once again SL let us fight and once again we will win. SL + India +
Pakistan + Bangladesh = 4. An Asian Band of Brothers. Add to this
Zimbabwe and we have 5 votes there already. Band of Brothers unite.
Today SL is the strongest of the four countries in a Cricket ability
sense and it is the number one Cricket country in the world without
doubt (Sangakara did not hide golf balls in his gloves in the World
Cup final).
Do not allow the West to do to Cricket what they did to Hockey.
Remember how our guys sang Yeh Dosti on the field when you were
beating us hollow. Now is the time to rally around Pakistan and stop
an injustice from being done.
