I don't think this tour makes any sense at this time.

It's not just a Q of whether enough security will be provided... most
likely, it will be provided. However, the public mood in India does
not look favorable to Cricket. People have been gathering in peace
rallies in all major cities in India protesting and demanding an
inquest into the security failings. Nobody seems the least bit
interested in Cricket at the moment. Why is the BCCI pressing on the
tour at this time when their countrymen are not interested? Why is the
ECB going ahead with the tour when they can see that the potential
audience is not interested? This doesn't make any sense.

And all this talk about Chennai and Mohali being safer than Mumbai is
rubbish. It just takes a couple of days for potential terroorists to
travel to anywhere. India needs a complete and quick overhaul of the
security apparatus in all major cities. That is exactly what the
crowds are demanding and that's the only thing that will make them
happy. A conducive env for Cricket will then emerge out of that.

They can easily suspend the tour for 6 months and then re-evaluate the
situation then. The tour can always be re-scheduled at a later
date..it isn't exactly like missing the bus forever. That is the best
course of action at this time. This approach of pressing on with the
tour regardless of everything is plain stupid.
