Wow, a civil discussion on RSD that might just result in some
change...seriously? Thanks for the great response Kyle.

I agree that College should be an introduction division, and
essentially players like me still have never been introduced to highly
competitive organized ultimate. Now if I had played on Jam or
something for 3 years between undergrad and grad then I wouldn't
expect to be able to play at the college level.

I also realized I made a mistake. The second sentence on the UPA
tourney webpage says "Upon request and at its discretion, the UPA will
also announce other Ultimate tournaments which it deems consistent
with the mission of the organization."

So not all tourneys on the list are sanctioned, but it's hard to tell
which ones are and aren't. And if the Richmond Hat Tourney was
sanctioned, pretty much any non-beach non-savage tourney on that list
could be sanctioned...
