What does it take to be an expert at something? Can you simply
proclaim that you are an expert, or do you actually have to fit some
objective standard? What would be an objective standard for expertise
in ultimate? If, like Frank, you had never played on a winning team,
would you at least have had to have coached a winning team or invented
strategy that had helped teams win?

Is it possible to obsess over something, yet fail to achieve expertise
in that thing because you lack the necessary talent and insight? Would
it be difficult to recognize that despite the fact that you obsess
over something, you are not an expert at it? Am I asking too many
rhetorical questions, when all I really want to say is that Frank is
not an expert in ultimate?
