I do a fair amount of traveling with my formula gear each year.
I found taking a few extra steps make a big difference.
Read NWA guidelines on their website and print them out and take them
to the airport with you.
Pack your formula board with some bottom protection- either a thin wd.
veneer or rigid insulation board as well as adding some protection for
your rails.
Roll your masts inside your sails to protect them.
Take a repair kit with you so when your board arrives damaged you can
fix it.
