Rec dot friends: I'm selling a 1997 Landrover Defender 90 with only
38K in terrific condition. White, automatic, V8, soft top, full roll
cage and all the brick $#!%-house characteristics that go with the
car. For those unfamiliar, it is the bomb of all off-road cars and
theoretically can last forever since the body is hand assembled and
each piece can be replaced with a wrench. You can reconfigure the
entire car down to the frame and fire wall if that appeals. And, it
does, to some.
Some describe the car as something between the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
and the original Desert Storm Humvee (minus the gun turret.) But it
drives better than either, both on road and off. It is one example of
a truly bad-ass windsurf mobile.

1997 model year was the last year the Defenders were im****ted into
North America and are very rare. Only 500 made it to this side of the
pond before the tap was turned off. This car has never been on the
beach, always been garaged and never been in an accident of any kind.
The engine runs like a sewing machine.
