HiFly Madd 162/165 planing question

by johnflorida9753@[EMAIL PROTECTED] May 11, 2008 at 01:28 PM

I=92m a beginning intermediate who=92s trying to learn more about sailing
my new-to-me twin-fin Madd 165 on a close reach while staying upwind.
I=92m usually sailing 9.5 or 10.5 sails in gusty, inland lakes. My
question is whether you sail the Madd 165 like a Formula board (with
last two feet or so of the windward edge in the water) or whether you
sail it flatter (so the leeward fin gets a better bite)? If flatter,
how much flatter?

Thanks, in advance, for your advice,
