That explains the primary difference, of course. Plus the grab-me-
before-I-fly-away loop on the back.
Other differences may be found in the amount of padding or (inversely)
the location of stiff reinforcement at the top of the harness. Kiters
have the harness yanked up hard by the kite when they fall sometimes.
Some kite harnesses loose some of the structure at the top otherwise
helpful to windsurfers.
