Just a friendly reminder - if you live and sail in the US, and you
like the idea of effective advocacy for things like access to the
water (especially at a time when municipalities are closing beaches
and parks to windsurfers b/c of liability concerns triggered by
kiters), then US Windsurfing deserves your sup****t. If you care about
things like racing or local demo days (and the ability of local event
organizers to get insurance for their events, which they need to get
permits), again US Windsurfing is for you. And if you like the idea of
a kick-ass juniors program, then you're really running out of excuses
now.
Go to http://uswindsurfing.org/member****p_main.php,
check out the
benefits (including available insurance for your gear - your
homeowner's insurance very likely doesn't cover it), then renew/join.
While you're there, be sure to make a donation to the junior program -
those kids are one of the most inspirational group of young people
you'll ever meet.
