I doubt it.  *board forums were the wild west, but grew like weeds.

When it comes to windsurfing forums, people have choices...  Tons of 
choices.  That was not the case 10 years ago.  Of course people left rec 
dot.  But I don't agee that they were driven away.  I think they just 
have less time to spend in any one place.
