Two comments.

It would be a waste to take two months off and not try fun moves. Call
it freestyle or what you may. If you like slalom, then work hard on
transitions, practice at least the duck gybe and tacking. I'd put
myself markers really close together and gybe continously. To get your
money's worth, go out in all winds (that is practical). I see people
go to Hatteras and Carabean and come back and say "the wind was not
good enough for them". What a waste. Practice low wind tacks and all
for when the wind picks up.

Second, for 2 months in same spot I'd strongly consider bringing my
own gear. Rented equipment is just that - rented. Its feels different,
unright. Learning is faster and more useful on your own gear.
